Elephant and Tiny Rope Story about belief

Elephant Rope Story about belief:

Once a man went to the circus, and he was passing the elephants, he abruptly stopped, confused by the truth that these large creatures have been getting held by only a tiny rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was apparent that the elephants could, at any time can break away from their little chain link but for some reason, elephants just stood there.

He noticed a trainer close by and questioned why these animals just were standing there and did not try to release them away. Trainer stated, “when they were young we make use of the same size chain to tie it and, at that early age, it was very much adequate to hold the elephant. As they grow up, they may be conditioned to think they can’t break away, and they start believing in them. They believe that the rope can still hold them, so they under no circumstances attempt to break them.”

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break from their bonds but only because they believed they couldn’t, they had been stuck in the place where they had been.
Just like these elephants, many of us too hung onto a belief that we can’t do a thing, just because we had failed once. The situation may be very different now. Unless otherwise, you attempt it, you will not be able to break your chain and set yourself free.
From our childhood, we are programmed to believe that the only way to lead the life is to get a good education, go to work, earn money, get married, have children and die. It is programmed so deeply in our mind that in this 21st century, the majority of us are chained to this life.
